Habitat for Humanity’s National Women Build Week is a weeklong event created by its Women Build program and made possible by Lowe's Home Improvement that invites women to devote at least one day to help families build strength, stability and independence through housing. The week is meant to spotlight the homeownership challenges faced by women.
National Women Build Week is held the week leading up to Mother’s Day in 300 communities across the United States. More than 80,000 women from all 50 states have volunteered at the eight previous National Women Build Week events. Here in Sacramento, we will be hosting over 100 women for our Women Build Week on May 10th-13th.
Visit HabitatGreaterSac.org/WomenBuild to sign-up for one of our 2017 National Women Build Week build days and help us reinforce the message that every woman can make a difference through learning and using construction skills.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento will host our Annual Women Build Week May 10-13, 2017.
Registration is $75 and includes participation for one day of building, lunch, and a Women Build t-shirt. Spots are limited to the first 100 women to sign-up. Must be at least 18-years of age to participate.
The West Sacramento Lowe’s will be hosting an optional training clinic on May 5th from 11:30am-1:00pm for those interested in learning and practicing new skills prior to the build day. T-Shirts for registered participants will be available for pick-up at the clinic.
