Finger Cymbals Focus every Thursday 3/9/17- 4/27/17. For our Spring session of Belly dance Skillz & Drills let's add basic finger cymbal breakdown and playing. All Levels are Welcome and encouraged to attend this fun challenging class. Please bring your cymbals, metal or wooden, dancers choice. I will have several pairs on hand for dancers to try out.
This Class runs in 8 week sessions taught by members of Verbatim Dance, each session has its own distinct focus. $80 for the entire 8 weeks, or $12 drop in. (Dancers can arrange split payment with April of $40 for month of March and $40 for month of April)

This all levels class is designed to support and deepen your dance practice combining conditioning, basic technique, isolations and foot patterns. We put it all together in a fun combo, followed by cool down and stretch. This is an excellent way for beginners to learn and build new skills, as well as intermediate and advanced students to learn, maintain and strengthen your dance repertoire. Bring a yoga mat, water bottle and get ready to shimmy and sweat!

April Hollon Instructor of Hot Pot Studios.
In 1998 April began her American Cabaret Belly Dance study with Zaheea here in Sacramento. In 2002 she relocated to Portland Oregon and took her first American Tribal Style classes at Gypsy Caravan Studios. After moving back to Sacramento in 2003, April became a dedicated student of Belly Dance, and specifically Improv Formats. She has been a student of Amy Sigil since 2003, a member of Amy's studio troupe since 2004, and director of Verbatim Dance since 2011. April is an original Hot Pot Improvisational Tribal Style (ITS) Instructor, teaching the format since 2006. And is considered a Level 4 ITS Instructor. April has also participated in intensives under Suhaila Salimpour, Mira Betz, April Rose and Sam Riggs. Continues to work on her certifications in Jamilia Salimpour Format to deepen her wisdom in American Belly Dance history and practice.
