Sacramento Prisoner Support and the Party for Socialism and Liberation present a movie screening and discussion in honor of Black History Month. We will gather to learn about the Angola 3, three Black Panther political prisoners unjustly imprisoned for decades. We will hear an account of the miscarriages of justice that led to three innocent black men spending decades in prison for nothing more than the color of their skin and desire for liberation. Albert Woodfox, the last of the Angola 3 was freed in 2016 after decades of struggle for his false charges to finally be dropped. Come learn about Black history and how we can continue to support our sisters, brothers, and siblings still fighting for freedom behind bars.
