This may be one of our last public opportunities at the Capitol to oppose the project.
CALIFORNIA WATERFIX: PERSPECTIVES ON THE PLAN
SENATE NATURAL RESOURCES & WATER COMMITTEE
Tuesday, February 28, 2017
9:30 am — End time TBA.
State Capitol Room 112
Please plan to make a 1 sentence comment using this format:
Chair Hertzberg and Committee Members, my name is ________________, and I oppose the Delta Tunnels because ____________________________________________________________. We recommend choosing a reason that reflects both your personal and public interest. Costs, environmental protection, agriculture, water quality, public health, fish, wildlife, and drinking water are a few reasons to oppose this plan.
We need your attendance for a RARE legislative opportunity to voice your opposition to Governor Jerry Brown's Delta Tunnels project. The California Senate Natural Resources and Water Committee will be holding an important meeting to hear your thoughts on Tuesday, February 28th.
Our goal is to fill the seats and the halls with the voices of people and friends of the San Francisco Bay-Delta estuary. Restore the Delta is giving you an advance notice so that you can make arrangements for work. We need as many people as possible to make a powerful statement with our Californian legislators.
An agenda is not yet posted, we will update with the agenda as the date nears.
If you are attending, please put «GOING» on Facebook — we would like to know how many people are coming for logistical purposes.
* Public comments will be limited to 1-2 sentences. We recommend stating one sentence introducing yourself and why you oppose the Delta Tunnels Plan. For more on the Delta Tunnels, click here --> restorethedelta.org/101-save-the-delta-stop-the-tunnels/
