Potluck Feast for the Winter Solstice. Come help us celebrate the longest night of the year with fire and food!
We will gather at 7:30pm on Thursday, Dec. 21st for ritual, merriment, celebration of the Sun's entrance into Capricorn (at 2:44am on Thursday, December 21st). Bring your intentions for the upcoming year. From this day onward the days grow longer. It is the true «rebirth of the Sun» — the night to set intentions and energy for the upcoming year.
«Feasts of the times» can be viewed as periodic physical and spiritual nourishment we receive four times throughout the year. Many Thelemic correspondences can be found in these gatherings, as we mark the Sun's passages around the Earth. Crowley said, «the difference between rituals and feasts is this; by the one a particular form of energy is generated, while there is a general discharge of one's superfluous energy in the other».
We look forward to feasting with you on this important, magical night!
