We are honored to host the first fundraising event of Fight for a Cause.
Fight for a Cause is a non profit organization focused on providing funding for kids who cannot afford to be apart of a Brazilian Jiu jitsu program on their own. This will help them find a local gym and get them their first gi. Helping get a child started in a Brazilian Jiu jitsu will help them gain confidence and help them get out of trouble and onto the mats.
A short Biography of the founder of Fight for a Cause:
David Acosta is founder of Fight For A Cause along with the Head Youth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor at the UFC Gym in Rocklin, CA. David started coaching when he was 18 years old and found he had a passion for coaching kids. He realized along his own journey that he had met quite a few kids who fell in love with the sport as he once did. Unfortunately, David watched those same kids quit who could not financially afford the program, which meant they could never really show their true potential and talent. Seeing this made him realize that his purpose was much larger than just coaching. In 2014 he started my professional MMA career. David realized this built a platform large enough to where he could really get his voice heard for these kids.
This fundraiser will help raise donations for the 100 mile cycling event on August 26th. 100% of the proceeds will go straight to the charity. We will have raffles, special seminars and some guest appearances from UFC veterans from Team Alphamale.
