What better way to spend a Sunday morning than cleaning up the the American River with your friends at the Yoga Seed!?!
Did you know the Yoga Seed is a part of the American River Parkway Foundation's Mile Stewards Program? This means our community spends at least 20 hours every quarter cleaning up the American River Parkway at Sailor Bar--the last bit of «natural» spawning habitat available to our American river salmon!
Join us for a morning of karma yoga, or selfless service yoga practice. Bringing the freedom and compassion found in the studio out into the world puts the practice into action. It's a great opportunity for fun, community, and service!
Be Sure to Read the Details Here:
The second Sunday of every month we meet at Sailor Bar (Illinois Avenue Entrance) in the parking lot next to the boat launch at 9 am. Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty. Expect to spend about 2 hours cleaning up. We will provide parking passes, gloves, and garbage bags.
If there is someone in the entrance kiosk, please let them know you are part of a river clean-up, and that we will be providing parking passes for you when you arrive at the parking lot by the boat launch.
All ages welcome.
A great big Thank You to Diamond Light Tibetan Buddhist Group, for being the official sponsor of Karma Seed Service Projects, and making this possible. Be sure to like their Facebook page, and check out their mind blowing events: facebook.com/diamondlight.tbg/?fref=ts
