This annual event unites people from churches throughout the Sacramento area to celebrate and be challenged by Martin Luther King, Jr.’s vision of racial diversity, reconciliation, and harmony.

MLK Celebration creates unity through:
• Inspirational music by the MLK Celebration Choir, a city-wide, multi-cultural choir led by Tecoy and
Ellington Porter
• “Difference Maker” awards given to individuals for their faith and service in the Sacramento area
• Keynote speech by Scott Hagan, President of North Central University
• Scholarships to Sacramento area youth

Featured Keynote:
Scott Hagan
A natural leader, Scott has been drawn to the study and practical application of leadership inside and outside the church. He has written six books on leadership, influence, and biblical topics. Since 1995, he has written more than 60 articles appearing in publications such as Charisma Magazine, Ministries Today, Pentecostal Evangel, and Influence Magazine (formerly Enrichment Journal). Scott started Real Life Church in 2006 in Natomas, California. Over the past 11 years, Real Life Church helped plant 10 new congregations and campuses throughout the region.
