A ghostly procession in the winter chill, in shades of grays and blues have brought this winter solstice turning cold and dark.
It's time for the Nightwardens and their warpups to come out to celebrate!
Join us as we gather together for a feast and give toast to great victories, good harvest and peace…
Sing songs to our ancestors to drive away the specter of death for a rebirth of the solstice sun.
There will be an exchange of trinkets and baubles handmade from nuclear winter wasteland materials to decorate our tree. These trinkets should be suitible in size to hang from holiday trees in the beforetime.
We will gather at 'The Other Office' in Old Sacramento.
Pot Luck: We are limited to cold dishes as we won't be able to have open flames or plug ins to keep items warm at this location. Please post items you would be willing to bring in the comments. If short on time hot appetizers can be purchased from the bar.
Warpups: Children and anyone under 21 welcome until 9:45pm when the event goes full adult
Costumes ideas: Wasteland, post apocalyptic, Nuclear winter Yuletide formal dress, For safety reasons the night rules of wasteland are in play here, no pointy things or weaponry. Enter wearing gas masks that protects you from the kiss of ash that fills the night sky. Black leather trimmed in fur that has been damaged by the rain of radioactive snow. Headdresses decorated in feathers and bones of creatures that once lived. These are just the start of ideas to create your Nuclear Winter costumes
Hotel: There are several hotels in the vacinity of the event for under 100 we will post them close to the event to get more accurate pricing.
Gift exchange rules: Everyone who brings an unwrapped handmade ornament to exchange that will hang it on the tree. Then their name will be placed in a hat/ bucket… When it's time… Names will be pulled… They get to pick from the tree.
After 10pm Burlesque Dancers of the Waste
