2018 Black History Month we will discover our amazing journey toward freedom standing upon the legacy of the Black Church and friends of our pioneer communities during the California Gold Rush Era, 1840-1875.

Enslaved and free, our early California Gold Rush communities demonstrated faith in action, many of our faith based institutions are still active today.
