Artist Sam Contis' work explores the pathos of the West, it's mythic, dreamlike presence and the role it plays in shaping and identifying the male body. She will be discussing her experiences in the west and her most recent photographic work, «Deep Spring,» recently published in 2017 by MACK.
This event is one in a series of lectures & exhibitions organized by the Sac State Department of Design in participation with Sacramento's Inaugural Photography Month, April 2018.
