Midnight
--Sue Daly

I’ll meet you on the other side of midnight
where no one knows our names...
where time is unknown,
measured by dust;
scorned by moonlight.

Where thorns enter in
through stars and nowhere
is where we are...

Where the borders of horizons
are permeable and fragile,
waiting for us to cross over
as easily as clearing cobwebs
and sauntering through
a hidden door.

Each Day
--Chris Olander

Each day our hands discover
the blue-emerald river heart:
jewel that radiates
the canyon's deepest image:
the forest fountain
bubbling wilderness
down the granite crags'
building block foundation:
our soul's precious body:
a sweet communion for our lips---

Speaking vast secrets
fates sing of spirits
unfurling leaves
from golden black oaks
nourishing lupine nectar
rippling spring rivulets
glowing dawn fire--
we dive into its clear pool
spirit laughing
our river current-----
